On Thursday night, I biked to Yonge and Dundas to watche the world premiere of Stu Stone's new movie Don't F**ck with Ghosts. Good fun, and a fab time catching up with some buds. Even Ross Atkins was there, but I digress...
The movie wrapped around 9:30pm and I was on the Waterfront Trail heading west by 10pm. When you ride west on the Waterfront Trail at night, you have a gorgeous view of the sky above Lake Ontario. You get to drink it all in.
When I got online at 11pm, I saw a picture from the VP of Salez, taken mere blocks from my home. It was the aurora borealis a.k.a. norhern lights, so how the heck did I miss it? I was staring at the sky for an hour and didn't detect anything different on this Thursday night.
Apparently, you couldn't see this effect with the bare eye, but needed to use a camera to see the light (shout out to Jeff Healey). It was an invisible aurora borealis, at least to the naked eye.
