FOTM Ed Sousa is turning 60, so he's throwing himself a party. Chalk Circle opened for Midge Ure tonight at the El Mocambo and I got to soak it all in.
I haven't seen Chalk Circle live since 1985, which sets a new personal record for time between seeing a band. Chris Tait, lead singer of Chalk Circle, visited the basement for a chat back in September.
The headliner was Midge Ure, and he was fab. I got to talk to Midge on Toronto Mike'd in July. We got Vienna, Dancing With Tears in My Eyes, Fade to Grey, The Man Who Sold the World and more.
Speaking of Bowie, I got to chat with FOTM Michael Williams. I also bumped into FOTM Cam Carpenter, but he wasn't the only Cam at the El Mo tonight. FOTM Hall of Famer Cam Gordon was there as well, as Ed Sousa celebrated the big 6-0.
