Pandemic Fridays started on March 20th, 2020, as a coping mechanism for FOTMs dealing with the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Suddenly, Stu Stone was grounded in Toronto, projects were paused, and we decided to record every week with Cam Gordon for as long as the pandemic lasted.
Well, 76 weeks later, I decided I'd personally end the pandemic by ending Pandemic Fridays. We celebrated the finale in person at Great Lakes Brewery and you can hear a recording from TMLX8 here.
Shortly thereafter, Pandemic Fridays returned as Toast and Cam, Stu and I picked up where we left off, kicking out thematic jams with fun facts and mind blows galore. Then, Stu had to hit the road to direct films and episodes of Dark Side of the Ring, and Cam had to leave Twitter because of a megalomaniac billionair and I replaced Cam and Stu with Rob Preuss and Bob Willette.
A recent Twitter poll reveals that most people enjoy both duos, as do I. Cam and Stu had a different vibe than Rob and Bob, but I'm equally excited to record with Rob and Bob as I was with Cam and Stu. It's just a different flavour of fun.
I supposed I'm extremely blessed that I've been a part of three dynamic trios that have brought me such joy. There's the Toast trios of Cam, Stu and Mike, and Rob, Bob and Mike, and the FOTMCast trio of Tyler, Cam and Mike.
