2022 and 2023 had a lot of great TV shows that kept audiences across the globe on their toes. Some gave us the best screen times of our lives, and others left us on a cliffhanger. Series like another Bridgerton story brought happy tears to our eyes, while others like House of the Dragon left viewers pinning for more. Well, the good news is that some of these series will be back on our screens in 2024. This could be the best time to put them on your list of relaxation plans while you play games on 7Slots or visit some other similar websites.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Based on the popular animated series that won the hearts of many of us while we were younger, the live-action film Avatar is finally close to airing on Netflix. The show features favorite live-action characters:
- Aang;
- Sokka;
- Zuko;
- Katara.
Although there are many reservations about this show's delivery from die-hard fans, there is no doubt many are looking forward to seeing these characters brought to life. The series is set to premiere on February 22, 2024.
House of the Dragon (HOTD)
HOTD is the prequel to Game of Thrones (GOT) and a live rendition of Martin's 2018 book Fire and Blood. Watching the first season of HOTD gave fans some closure after the unsatisfactory ending of the original series. It showed us how much the power struggle had existed even before the battles in GOT. After the second season ended with the gruesome death of Lucerys, the producers revealed that the second season of HOTD is set to premiere in the summer of 2024. We would all like to see Rhaenyra's revenge and the looming war in action this coming season.
Bridgerton 3
Another Bridgerton story took viewers back in time to the days of the old Queen Charlotte, and it is about time for another story of love, balls, and bodices. This story is unique as it focuses on the love story of Penelope (Lady Whistledown) and Colin. Of course, it will be a rocky patch, considering the dramatic ending of the last season. Bridgerton 3 will drop in 2 parts, the first in May, and the second is set to follow in June.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
Here is something for the lovers of the long-standing horror TV series, The Walking Dead. The Ones Who Live is the show's 6th spin-off and final season. It has been a long ride for this television thriller and horror show, and this might be the last time we witness such thrills again. The Ones Who Live has been confirmed to air on February 25, 2024, with 6 solid episodes for its audience.
The Penguin
Stories from the streets of Gotham always find their way into the people's hearts; it will be no different with The Penguin. Airing on HBO's Max, this series will explore the stories of one of Gotham's greatest crime lords, Oswald Cobblepot. The series talks about his rise to the echelons of the city's underground crime world. The Penguin is said to come in 8 episodes and is slated for an early release in 2024.
The Boys
Gen V was an interesting watch for viewers, but the guest feature of Homelander and Butcher on the series stole the show. In The Boys 4, we expect to see Homelander and his son bonding moments that more gruesome crimes might accompany. Butcher realizes he has a few more years to live in the 3rd season. We'll see whether he spends his last days chasing supes and finally getting his long overdue revenge. The official release date has yet to be announced, but there is no doubt the series will make its way onto Prime Video in 2024.
Squid Game 2
Squid Game is the second highest-grossing movie ever produced in South Korea and Netflix's most-watched series of all time. Netflix released the first-ever teaser on February 1, 2024, building excitement for audiences. After the deadly game ended in a cliffhanger, viewers look forward to what happens with Gi-hun and the game masters. The date is yet to be confirmed, but the episodes are expected to drop before the end of 2024.
