I was all in as our Canadian men's soccer team qualified for the Word Cup in 2022, and of course, I was laser focused on our three matches in Qatar, but I had never seen this squad live. Until last night, that is.
I was at BMO Field for a thrilling 4-1 Canada victory over Honduras, a win that secures our spot in the Concacaf Nations League semifinals this June as Group C’s (League A) first-place team.
These were four pretty goals and in the first half Cyle Larin had a glorious chance to get the hat trick. That was not to be, but Larin's opener eight minutes in set the tone for a great night for Canada.
