Maureen Holloway announced this morning that today was her last day hosting 98.1 CHFI's morning show. She took over when Erin Davis retired five years ago. Previously, Maureen hosted the afternoon drive show on Q107.
Maureen was co-hosting the CHFI morning show with Darren B. Lamb, who hasn't actually been heard on the show this year. He's been replaced by Toronto radio veteran Mike Cooper. I appears as if Mike is gone again, as well as producer Gord Rennie. A new CHFI morning show will be announced shortly.
Maureen, or Mo if you will, dropped by for a deep dive into her extensive Toronto radio career, and I urge you to revisit this episode of Toronto Mike'd. I love that she's holding my youngest in the post-recording pic.
I had such a great time with Maureen, I invited her back to kick out the jams with me. Here she is playing her ten favourite songs of all-time and telling me why she loves the jam.
Maureen, if you're reading this, there is life after CHFI. Let me know if you'd like to visit a third time for another episode of Toronto Mike'd. I'd love it.
This news from Rogers-owned CHFI comes mere days after a complete overhaul of The Fan 590 lineup, including the dismissal of Scott MacArthur, Richard Deitsch, Rob Wong, Josh Goldberg, Andrew Nie and Jason Rozen. The Fan 590 is also a Rogers-owned radio station.
Lest we forget, Pooja Handa and Gurdeep Ahluwalia are going to resurface on a Toronto morning show soon, and this very well could be it.
