Jim Hughson, who has been calling hockey games since the early 80s, has announced his retirement from broadcasting. Last season, he only called home games for the Vancouver Canucks.
In addition to calling Toronto Maple Leafs games and Toronto Blue Jays games, I remember him best as the pxp voice of the EA Sports NHL series of video games. Jim has always been on my short list of desired Toronto Mike'd guests and I'm sorry we never made that happen. Although now that he's retired, he might have more time to make his debut.
