Announcement Made Live This Morning on Funny 820
Humble and Fred, a beloved broadcast duo entertaining Canadians since 1989 and celebrating 10 years of podcasting, enthusiastically announce they’ve quit terrestrial radio with a surprise declaration made live on Funny 820 this morning at 8:45am.
Following several years of simulcasting their popular podcast on the Rogers Radio network, SiriusXM, and most recently, Bell Media stations like Funny 820 and NEWSTALK 1010, Humble and Fred are today declaring their fierce independence, shedding the shackles of terrestrial radio and embarking on the exhilarating freedom that only comes with total and complete autonomy.
This new era of Humble and Fred begins February 22, 2021 with the recording of their podcast, available on all podcast aggregators and live on their Facebook page Monday through Thursday at 7:30am. Convenient subscriptions links can be found at humbleandfred.com.
“The podcast marketplace has matured to a point where we simply don't need terrestrial radio”, says Fred Patterson “Terrestrial radio is an unnecessary and cumbersome layer in our distribution model.
“At 845am this morning, we proudly quit terrestrial radio”, says Humble Howard Glassman, . “The fact is, we have far more listeners to our podcast and Facebook livestream than we had on all Bell Media stations combined. Starting February 22, we can stop watching our language, censoring our content and stopping down for radio breaks every 25 minutes. We’re free!”
This brave new era is powered by valued sponsors like GigSky, Chambers Plan, Retirement Sherpa, CDN Technologies, Platinum Pro Painters, ONYX Meals, Clear Air Solutions, 5-Hour Energy and SafeTech Alarm Systems.
