Breakfast Television in Toronto has made a significant change to its on-air crew. Roger Petersen, who had been co-hosting with Dina Pugliese, has been relieved of his duties.
Roger joined the Toronto Citytv team in 1999, undertaking a variety of roles including reporter, anchor and host of the car show Autoshop. He became Toronto’s first morning show reporter when he joined the BT team in 2002. Roger then moved to Vancouver to anchor CityNews at 6 and 11, before moving back to his hometown.
Roger took over for Kevin Frankish two years ago. Kevin left the role in May of 2018 rather suddenly but visited me one year ago to come clean about what transpired.
Here's that episode with Kevin regarding his departure. If Roger is reading this, the backyard studio is open.
Here's hoping Roger is okay. It's never fun reporting such events.
