FOTM Mimico Joe a.k.a. Broni is generously giving away four tickets to see Nutcracker (or is it The Nutcracker?) Saturday, December 7th at 7:30pm. You could attend TMLX5 at noon and still have plenty of time to make your way to Humberside CI that evening.
Mimico Joe's daughter is the Princess of Lotus Land and he's one proud papa. Here's what he wrote me about this production of Nutcracker.
Everybody knows about the "downtown" Nutcracker. But did you know there's another Nutcracker here in the west-end of Toronto that has been running even longer?
The Pia Bouman School for Ballet is a not-for-profit dance school in the Junction and this year marks their 34th annual Nutcracker. That makes it Toronto's longest-running Nutcracker. And it's probably the city's most family-friendly version too.
This production features over 100 dancers, mostly the school's dance students age 7 to 17. And a cool little extra is that all proceeds go to the School's Bursary Program which allows children to dance who otherwise couldn't afford to.
It runs next weekend (December 6-7-8) so get your tickets today at www.piaboumanschool.org/nutcracker
If you'd like a shot at winning four tickets, simply leave a comment on this entry and we'll randomly pick a winner Friday morning. Make sure you put your email address in the email field so I can contact you with the good news. Don't worry, your email address won't display on this page.
