In the first four parts of this series, we explored the convenience of installing the Paytm app on your smartphone and setting up your Paytm account for easy bill payments, how easy it is to earn Paytm points and redeem these points for fantastic rewards, and the fact there is absolutely no fee or hidden charge. As I wrote in part 4, it doesn’t cost you money to use Paytm, it saves you money.
Paytm is an app that sits on my Android phone, and if I’m solely judging it on the technology, ease of use, functionality and rewards, it’s a winner. But what about the company behind the app? What about the people? I rode my bike to the Paytm Labs in downtown Toronto to meet the hard-working Canadians behind the service.
I spoke with several Paytm employees, from developers to QA to Customer Care, and what I witnessed was great passion for the service. Not only do these proud Canadians service Canada, but they also service Paytm clients overseas.
There’s a true sense of entrepreneurial spirit with inspiring icons celebrated throughout the office. When you think about it, the Paytm app is designed to help everyday Canadians with their personal finances. It’s something that affects every Canadian adult from the Pacific to the Atlantic. The technology and security is great, but the people are even better.
At Paytm, you can see they work hard, but you also see they value work-life balance and encourage play and, my personal passion, cycling to and from the office.
