I loved our '85 Jays. It was probably the first team I followed every single day. I listened to most games on 1430 CJCL, falling asleep nightly to the sweet tones of Tom Cheek and Jerry Howarth. My favourite player was George Bell, but I loved that entire team.
This afternoon, I was lucky enough to be invited by Sony Canada to the Jays vs. Yankees. It was my second ever game in a luxury suite. Coincidentally, my first was only two days ago.
Prior to the game, which we won 3-1 to move to .5 games back of the Yankees, I stepped into a time machine. We honoured the Drive of '85 and my 1985 Jays, and I became rather emotional. Suddenly, I was ten again.
At a later date I'll write about the Sony RX100 IV camera I used during the game, I just wanted to quickly say the tribute to George Bell, Lloyd Moseby, Jesse Barfield, Dave Stieb, Tom Henke, Tony Fernandez, Willie Upshaw, Rance Mulliniks, Garth Iorg and Cito Gaston was awesome.
