Mordecai Richler's 1963 novel The Incomparable Atuk is the basis for a screenplay named Atuk that has never been made into a movie.
Many Hollywood film studios since the early 80s have wanted to make Atuk, but for a variety of reasons this has never happened. There's an urban legend that all actors interested in playing the lead character are cursed.
I don't believe in curses, but I do believe this is one hell of a coincidence. The following actors have wanted to play Atuk.
