Now that my wife is in her third trimester, I'm starting to get excited. I'm only a couple of months away from meeting my son Jarvis.
As the father, there's really only so much you can do during the pregnancy. You try and make your wife as comfortable as possible, drive her to her OB GYN appointments and wait. I've been patiently waiting for 30 weeks throughout a thankfully uneventful pregnancy but now I've switched from patient waiting to eager anticipation.
I remember this same sensation 12 years ago with the birth of my first son and 10 years ago with the birth of my daughter. You watch the belly grow, feel the baby's movements and start wondering what he or she will look like.
We're in the homestretch now. I can't wait.
