I never liked The Police. I'm not talking about law enforcement, I'm talking about the English rock band. I acknowledge they have a number of hits and I've caught myself singing Roxanne at least twice, but I never loved their sound.
I dislike Sting as a solo artist even more. When I hear a Sting song, I cringe a little bit and if I can't turn the station I start singing something else in my head in an effort to drown it out. Sting's music isn't my cup of tea, as the Brits would say.
I don't like his music, but Sting as a person has always got a free pass from me. It all comes down to one fact I learned back in 1992 while watching The Simpsons episode "Radio Bart". He's a good digger.
