London Olympic Mascots Remind Me of Kang and Kodos

I've been giggling at the official logo for the 2012 London Olympic games since it was unveiled 5 years ago.  Click over and see what I mean.

I've only recently checked out the mascots for these upcoming Olympic games, and they're a little goofy as well.  They're called Wenlock and Mandeville and here they are:

When I see them, all I can think of is Kang and Kodos from The Simpsons Halloween specials.
