I thought Mikhail Grabovski was our best player in the pre-season. I was disappointed by his slow start in the regular season, but now he's really come on. He was clearly the offensive spark yesterday, scoring a goal and setting up another early. Grabs has six goals and two assists in the last four games, teaming with Niklas Hagman and Nikolai Kulemin to form a line in desperate need of a nickname. Enemen might work, but we can do better.
Our Canadian tour will now continue with stops in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. If we play like we did last night, out shooting the Habs 41-20, this will be a fun week.
Compare and Contrast: On Friday night, I played my first game of hockey in over twenty years, giving me an ice-level view of the action. Last night, I watched this Leafs game from the fourth row, giving me yet another ice-level view. The only difference, in my humble opinion, is skill.
