Last December I wrote about putting on skates for the first time in about fifteen years. I bought a pair of skates and skated with my son every Saturday through the winter.
I just joined a recreational hockey team, and we make our ice debut on Friday. I haven't played ice hockey since I was 13. That was over twenty years ago.
I own a pair of skates, a helmet and my old baseball jockstrap, but I need everything else by Friday. Where should a poor bastard like me score the rest of my protective gear so I can survive my long overdue return to the world's fastest game?
