YouTube user Retrontario frequently uploads fantastic retro-Toronto-centric gems. These clips never fail to bring back a ton of memories for me, so I feature them from time to time.
If you're a Torontonian who was around in the early 80s, you remember the "Be Nice, Clear Your Ice" campaign. It was based around Ben Wicks' cartoons and featured his voice. I know I always repeated the "Be Nice, Clear Your Ice" catch phrase after nights like the last one.
Here's the original ad I remember so fondly.
Stop the presses!!!! I just found the follow-up version from 1988 featuring Wendel Clark and Lloyd Moseby. No word of a lie, my brothers and I would repeat Lloyd Moseby's line all the flippin' time! "You should see me catch a baseball". Thanks, Retrontario!
