You may have heard that Dolemite passed away earlier in the week. It was actually Rudy Ray Moore who passed away, but he was Dolemite, his 1970s blaxploitation persona.
I didn't know about Dolemite until Big Daddy Kane introduced me to him in 1990. I was a big Big Daddy Kane fan, and that meant picking up his Taste of Chocolate disc, which included "Big Daddy vs. Dolemite". It was foul, it was politically incorrect and it was great. To this day I still use some of the lines Dolemite dropped, especially "I was through with it before you knew what to do with it."
