At the end of two periods, the Leafs trail Montreal 5-4. There are twenty minutes to play and the Leafs need to win this in regulation to have a chance.
We came out gang busters, playing awesome hockey when it matters most. The Michael Ryder Show in the second period was unfortunate and has likely ended our season. Don Cherry and the other Andrew Raycroft apologists will tell you Razor didn't have a chance on that fourth Montreal goal, but that's bullshit. It was a bad goal that he should have gloved easily, especially at that point in a game of this magnitude. I'm just sorry Jean-Sebastien Aubin wasn't given a fair chance all season. We'll see what he's got in the third.
It's five on three to start things off and overtime is not an option. Let's tie it up early and take it from there. Mats, if you're reading this between periods, now would be a fine time to break out of that goal scoring slump. In fact, score two and you'll have the franchise record all to yourself.
I'm logging off and watching this one from bed. Good luck and God Speed.
