I've always liked Denis Leary. I loved "Asshole", I thought he was great in "The Ref" and his stand up still makes me laugh. The fact he's a major NHL hockey fan earned him plenty of bonus points, too.
A couple of years ago I started watching his new series "Rescue Me" about a New York City fire fighter who lost his best friend on 9/11. It literally had me at hello by opening to the Von Bondies' "C'mon C'mon" and I've watched every episode since.
It's not as good as the Sopranos, Six Feet Under and Brotherhood's of the world, but I'll be back again tonight to see what Tommy Gavin's up to. I don't watch a lot of television, but I watch "Rescue Me".
