The have to feel for Mikael Tellqvist. He's a solid backup all year to an underperforming Ed Belfour, Belfour finally bows out and Telly is annointed numero uno and our hopeful savoir then, there are two make-or-break games in Montreal to decide our fate. The rest, is history. Tellqvist hasn't seen the net since as Jean-Sebastien Aubin has started the past five games, earning nine points.
It's too late, of course. Perhaps if they'd extend the regular season by about ten games we'd have a shot, but being six points out with seven to play makes the chances of sneaking into the playoffs ultra slim.
Ultra slim, but not zilch...
