Here we go again. The Man says we have to jack our clocks forward an hour. Right after the Leafs game, I'll be forced to do just that to the clock radio, the microwave, the VCR and the car radio.
A couple of years ago I pleaded with you to stay on Daylight Saving Time. Standard Time is for suckers. Almost three years ago, just before we rolled back the clocks, I asked if it wouldn't be more beneficial for our society to keep that hour of sunlight in the evening where it can be enjoyed? Does anyone really care if there's light at 7am?
The average citizen is no longer a farmer who follows the sun's lead in determining an appropriate hour to wake up and go to sleep. Typically, we're working from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, and Standard Time is no longer our best option. We'll make the change tonight, but then that's at. Daylight Saving Time is the only time for me.
