Yesterday, while playing frisbee with a couple of people approximately eight years my junior, I made the following comment. "In the immortal words of Corey Hart, we must never surrender!"
Not only was this reference completely lost on them, but they had absolutely no idea who Corey Hart was. This was a real eye opener for me. Is there really a generation of adult people who haven't heard of Corey Hart? Do people in their early 20s avoid 80s Cancon like the plague? Wasn't "Never Surrender" our national anthem for a brief period of time in the mid-80s?
It's official. I'm getting old.
