Murderball: 8.5 out of 10.
When A&E aired "Murderball" the other night, I taped it and watched it this afternoon. It's nominated for best documentary feature and I wanted to check it out before tomorrow night's Academy Awards.
It's great. I love documentaries like this that inspire and entertain all at once. I've seen "March of the Penguins" and I believe "Murderball" should roll all over 'em tomorrow night. Checking out everyone's picks in my little Oscar pool, I see the following break down for that award:
- March of the Penguins - 76
- Murderball - 13
- Darwin's Nightmare - 2
- Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room - 4
- Street Fight - 1
Had people actually seen "Murderball", I suspect it would have a far larger chunk of the penguins' pie. I know who I'm rooting for.
