At 13:00 our time tomorrow, the opening ceremony of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games will be held in Turin, Italy. As I did during the 2004 games in Athens, I'll be following our fellow Canadians and writing an entry celebrating every medal we earn.
I'm most excited, obviously, about our Men's hockey team. Our first game is February 15 at 07:00 EST. I'm hoping Gamblor releases our national heroes from his neon claws and that The Great One is given the benefit of the doubt he has earned and decides to accompany his team to Turin. Another gold medal would be sweet as well.
