Anyone is welcome to submit a Guest Blog Entry to torontomike.com. I received the following entry earlier today.
There is not 1 election sign ANYWHERE within my community promoting the Federal election. Are people afraid to let others know who they are supporting or don't they give a S#*T. I think the latter. I have not had 1 person come to my door since the election was called promoting their candidate. I know in my riding with 9 days to go there is still a problem getting candidates to run. The best thing that could happen is another minority gov't with another election called within a short time. There is no resonable choice & that's why I will probably vote GREEN - at least they have a candidate in my riding. I still will vote - even though there is NO choice-Martin, Harper, Layton - put them all in a wrestling ring & whoever wins gets to run our country! NO tag teams as in the past.

Where are you that there are no signs or even candidates? I'm certain the three major federal parties have candidates in ever riding. We've got lots of signs around my house, but I've never been a fan of candidate signs. I doubt they persuade anyone and they're an eyesore. You're blessed to be in a sign-less neighbourhood.
FYI: Today is an advance voting day. In the past, I've often voted on the advance days because it's pretty slick and you don't have to worry about ensuring you're in your riding between 08:00 and 20:00 on January 23. If you've already made your decision, exercise your right this afternoon.
