Today is the ninth straight day Toronto's temperature has exceeded 33°C. As a result, officials have issued yet another extreme heat alert. Meanwhile, the Independent Electricity System Operator has warned us we'll be subject to rolling blackouts if we don't curb energy use. This extreme heat is causing record demands for electricity, and places operating limitations on both generation and transmission facilities.
I don't mind the heat, I'm still playing ball in it and doing what I usually do, but it seems to be draining my creativity. I'm usually good for 3-4 good ideas a week, but the last couple of weeks I've been completely dry. This heat is sapping my creative powers. Our collective brains are melting.
