Upon reading about your dream of being a good father I wish you the very best luck and achievement in this area. A parent who owns up to responsibility knows that this is the very most difficult task on the face of this planet. The formative years seem more simplistic and easier to achieve because of the children's utmost respect for the parent and vice versa. It is when we tire and the child reaches an age where your wishes matter less and his/her wishes are of utmost importance that things can get difficult. Good luck and I say this with sincereness and a sense of sadness that looking back I did disappoint my children from time to time. No one had more convictions about what type of parent I would be and yet looking back I have such guilt about the way I handle some of life. Do any other parents reading this have some wisdom on this subject area?
