I refrained from posting this update immediately following the death of Pope John Paul II out of respect for the many Catholic visitors to this site. I think enough time has passed that I can finally update the Dead Pool.
Back in September of 2000, my brothers and I selected 15 living celebrities each. Should the celebrity we selected pass away, we receive a score of 100 minus the celebrity's age at the time of their death. We kept a running tally on this site and you can see that page here.
All three of us picked the Pope so we each received 16 points when he passed away. Ryan continues to hold an awesome lead with 125 points thanks to the youthful passing of Old Dirty Bastard. Steve is next with 78 and I'm stuck in last with 54.
