Back in the day, we used to be aggravated by pop-ups when surfing the web. Then, we all installed pop-up killers or switched to a browser that killed them for us. I haven't been bugged by pop-ups in well over a year.
Lately, when visiting a Maple Leafs fan site, I've encountered what can best be described as a pop-under. A new window is opened advertising something or other. This even occurs with my beloved Firefox browser, the tricky bastards.
It's more than enough to get me to stop visiting the site. Do they really think visitors will overlook such annoyances? If I visit thirty different web sites in a day, this is the only one that pulls this intrusive stunt. I really wish they'd stop because it's a pretty good site for Leaf fans and I'd like to return.
