Famous Players will chop the price of tickets at its movie theatres in the Greater Toronto Area by $4 starting this Friday. The cut will reduce the price of an adult ticket from $13.95 to $9.95.
This is a very good start. $14 for a ticket to see a movie was insane. $10 is a little more reasonable, although this will result in the end of discount Tuesdays. Lets hope Cineplex Odeon theatres follow suit.
Now if they'd only do something about the $15 popcorn and pop...
