When Ryan was a young lad, he used to tell me he was going to be a football player when he grew up. Sure he was a scrawny 70 lb boy at the time, but that didn't matter. He had this dream and nothing was going to stop him.
Unfortunately, Ryan didn't have the necessary talent or drive for this pursuit, and by the age of eight he had all but abandoned it. I often look back and wonder how good he could have been had he not given up on his dream. I believe he would have been exceptional. I believe he would have been the best.
Today, my little brother Ryan turns 28 and I'd like to wish him all the best. Happy Birthday Ryan!
