After a decade's absence from the big screen, Police Academy is returning for an eighth installment.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I used to love the Police Academy movies. When you're fourteen years old this is some seriously funny shit. The Steve Guttenberg era was the best when you had Hightower, Tackleberry and Jones. I think the first installment came out when I was ten, the perfect age for such hijinks. Now I'm thirty and will probably never see Police Academy 8, but I'm still glad there's room in theatres for good ol' crap like this.
Nostalgia has no taste.
