Anyone is welcome to submit a Guest Blog Entry to torontomike.com. I received the following submission late last night.
Mike my name is Christian and I am four years old. I was born with mobius syndrome which basically means that my whole face is paralyzed. I am borderline clinically blind and borderline clinically deaf. I am also at a great risk of choking at anytime. I am most susceptible when eating. Mobius syndrome is very rare. There is only about 65 of us in Canada.
Because of my syndrome I was given the chance by the Make a Wish Foundation to have a wish granted. My wish was to spend the weekend with the Maple Leafs and meet Tie Domi. Guess what? My wish came true!
I spent two nights at the Royal York in Toronto. While I was there I got to visit the Hockey Hall of Fame, Wayne Gretzky's restaurant, attend a Maple Leaf Game, and best of all I got to meet Tie Domi. I have great pictures of Tie and I. He gave me a lot of autographed souvenirs and he also took me into the change room to meet some other players.
I just wanted to publicly thank the Make a Wish Foundation for a weekend I will never forget. Signed Christian

Thanks for writing Christian. You and I have something in common. I too got to meet Tie Domi. You can see the pictures of Tie and I here. I found him to be a very gentle guy, far different from the player he is on the ice.
It sounds like you had a great time in Toronto. The Hockey Hall of Fame, Wayne Gretzky's restaurant, a Maple Leaf game and meeting Tie Domi sounds like the perfect weekend. Thanks for sharing your story!
