I can't say I've given Sinéad O’Conner much thought since her 1990 album "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got". It was a pretty good CD at the time that spawned a monster hit with Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U" and a minor follow up hit with "The Emperor's New Clothes". This was the full extent of my relationship with Sinéad O’Conner.
Now comes word that she's retiring from the music industry. She no longer wishes to be famous and hopes to achieve a "normal" life. It would be impossible for me to care less about this news, but I am rather intrigued by the title of her farewell album. "She Who Dwells in the Secret Place of the Most High Shall Abide Under the Shadow of the Almighty" may just be the longest name I've ever heard given to a CD. Can you think of a longer title? Are we to call it SWDITSPOTMHSAUTSOTA for short? Will it have a zippier nickname like "She Who Dwells" or "Long Title"? Does it matter?
