The Leafs showed more energy in the first two minutes of last nights game than they had during the entire roadtrip. They started well and finished well to grab two points against a very good team. Phew!
There's something I've wanted to write for a while but haven't for fear it's a sign the apocalypse is upon us. Robert Reichel has been one of the most consistent Leafs this season. He played another strong game last night, scoring a goal and an assist and having several other chances. I've been on Reichel's case since he arrived in Toronto but this season he's playing with renewed intensity. In fact, he's currently tied for second in points with Alexander Mogilny and Owen Nolan. Now we'll see if he pulls another disappearing act in April.
