Somebody else has just added me as a friend on Facebook. I've been getting a lot of these emails lately as everyone and their mother gets a Facebook account. The thing is, I don't have a Facebook account, and I don't plan to ever get one.
The same is true for MySpace. I don't have a MySpace page. I'm not a fan of MySpace and spend as little time there as possible. Who wants to visit a page where not one but two or three pieces of audio and video start blaring at you immediately? MySpace is the armpit of the World Wide Web.
When people tell me I should get a MySpace page or a Facebook account, I wonder why. I have space on the web. You're on it right now. A Google search for my name takes you right here, so finding me couldn't be easier. This is my space and my face book and I shall resist until my dying breath all pressures to join these other social networking abominations. This I pledge to you, my brothers and sisters.
Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least for a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade all the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... our freedom!
