Is there a guy my age who didn't love Guns N' Roses? I'm sure there is, but I'm not him. I was a huge fan.
Although Axl Rose is the only guy left from the glory days of the band, he's been promising a new album for about a decade now. Every year I read some promise somewhere that Chinese Democracy is ready for release. There was some heavy teasing a few years back when a bloated Axl panted through a new tune and a classic at the MTV Video Awards but then there was nothing. He surfaced at an L.A. party last weekend and Rolling Stone wrote this article about it.
Forget the fact he's once again promising Chinese Democracy will see the light of day this year and focus on the photo of him at this L.A. party. He's wearing a friggin' Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. "Dressed in a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey, cross hanging around his neck, cornrows still intact and sporting a blonde goatee, Rose strolled into the party around 1 a.m., just as the DJ was coincidentally rocking some vintage Gn'R."
Go Leafs Go!
