It's been about ten years since I've had a video game console in the house. The last one I had such access to was the Super Nintendo but I left it behind when I moved into my first apartment at 21.
Lately I've been thinking about my good ol' Nintendo days with fondness. I had hours and hours of awesome times with the 16 bit and 8 bit Nintendo Entertainment Systems and prior to that with the Atari 2600. When James gets a little older I'll be able to justify the purchase of a new console and revisit those good times of yesteryear.
As it is, I don't have time for video games. Making time for my kids, however, is essential. So, if I could play video games with my kids I'd be both spending time playing with them and enjoying video games. That, my friends, is a glorious win-win.
