James doesn't have a clue what Halloween is all about. He simply has no grasp of the concept of dressing up and going out for candy. The boy can't even say "Trick or Treat".
I can't tell you how many people were surprised we weren't taking him door-to-door this year. I know James, and I know taking him to the house of a complete stranger alongside ghosts, goblins and witches is the surest way to guarantee a lifetime of therapy. At twenty-one months of age, he's just too young for a holiday where the sole objective is to frighten people. Next year we can scare the bejeezus out of him.
